  • Surface cleaning with ethanol and xylene (coating)

  • Complete resolution of old bonds with water-ethanol mixture (1: 1)

  • Cleaning the broken edges and removing all additions

  • New bond with 40% Paraloid B 48N (in ethyl acetate) without foreign shards

  • New additions with a colored alabaster plaster (without edge)

  • Matching coloring of the additions (and partly of the adjacent destroyed glaze areas) with colors made from Paraloid B 48N (10% in ethyl acetate) and pigments

  • Partial reconstruction of the motifs using a point retouch with Lascaux acrylic paints

  • The edge was later completed by another restorer.
