New restoration of an Islamic bowl made of quartz ceramic with a crusader motif from Syria, 10th century AD (2017)

Surface cleaning with ethanol and xylene (coating)

Complete resolution of old bonds with water-ethanol mixture (1: 1)

Cleaning the broken edges and removing all additions

New bond with 40% Paraloid B 48N (in ethyl acetate) without foreign shards

New additions with a colored alabaster plaster (without edge)

Matching coloring of the additions (and partly of the adjacent destroyed glaze areas) with colors made from Paraloid B 48N (10% in ethyl acetate) and pigments

Partial reconstruction of the motifs using a point retouch with Lascaux acrylic paints

The edge was later completed by another restorer.
